The Painter's Keys

Some of you will have heard of Robert Genn's letters. Although he has died, his daughter continues to maintain the website and repost his letters, each of which carries much wisdom for artists, such as this one on "genius": http://painterskeys.com/a-touch-of-genius/

I encourage you to poke around the site and find some words that you need from time to time.

November Program

At the November 17th meeting, 7:00pm, Tippecanoe Arts Federation, Temre Stancfield will share with the us process of painting for her recent series of large, nature, circular paintings. You can read on her web site:http://temrestanchfield.com/home.html

My paintings marry the pictorial elements of both still life and landscape. The intent is to capture the perennial life cycle and to celebrate the inherent sustainability. I hope that these paintings ultimately bring to the viewer a renewed vision of our world that we live in.

Although I work alone in the studio for hours on end to make a single painting, yet, I find the process to actually be collaborative. In this way, the artwork is the visual outcome of a whole community.
