West Lafayette Public Library Exhibit

Many hands make light work, and Thursday we saw that in action, as the WVWS members worked together to hang a lovely watercolor exhibit at the West Lafayette Public Library.  Here are a few photos of the works, but no substitute for actually seeing the exhibit!  It will be on display until August 31.

Abstract workshop

The Watercolor Society of Indiana is hosting a workshop with Pat Dews, on abstracts with zing. From the supply list, it looks like mixed media, including watercolor and acrylic. Info on the society website: www.watercolorsocietyofindiana.org/

I attended the WSI workshop with Sterling Edwards, which was well-organized and a pleasure to participate in.

Upcoming IMA Exhibitions

Upcoming at the Indianapolis Museum of Art:

Watercolor Society of Indiana exhibition opens Oct. 11
Matisse, Life in Color, exhibition opens Oct. 13

Mark your calendars! This would make a good field trip for WVWS.
