Creating Sketchbooks Program

Wabash Valley Watercolor Society

“How to Make Your Own Sketchbook”

Our guest artist this month will be Kathryn Clark.  Kathryn is best known as the founder (along with her husband, Howie) of Twinrocker Paper in Brookston and is a wonderful artist, both in watercolor and oil.  She will demonstrate how to make a sketchbook using your favorite paper (such as Twinrocker).  These sketchbooks lie flat and are hand stitched.  Kathryn will also bring books, awls, needles, thread and paper you may purchase if you are interested.

Kathryn suggests that if you are thinking about making a book you might consider making a book for a trip.  You will not want to make too large a book.

You should bring a camera, IPad, or smart phone for photographing this demo of making sketchbooks.

We will look at how many people would be interested in a spring workshop with Kathryn (probably late March or April) at Twinrocker Paper to make these sketchbooks.
