February 20, 2015 Program - Painting Winter

A word from our president - Ladonna Vohar
Hello everyone,

Our program for January was going to be about Carol Carter's fabulous workshop in October.  Jerie Artz was going to head that up, but she had to leave town because of family issues, so we are going to reschedule that for our program in February. So we had to come up with another idea for our time together on Tuesday the 20th.  Since it's winter and snow is abound, we thought it would be fun to experiment with painting snow.  Snow is one of Marilyn Martin's favorite things to paint, so she is going to share with us some of her fun techniques.  Bring your paints and paper if you like and paint along.  Maybe some of you will have techniques to share as well.

Also, I am co-chair for the Women's Art League fashion show.  We want to give the women that go to the show a token gift, and we thought a hand painted greeting card would be lovely, so I would like to ask if any of you would be interested or willing to paint cards to donate for this.  I'll be bringing the cards for painting, and you can either paint on Tuesday or take one home to paint.

Join us for a night of talking, playing, watching and learning, and just having fun with art!  Feel free to bring your recent work to share either just to show or ask for critique.

Cheers,
LaDonna, Pres

We desperately need someone to take over as secretary.  Marilyn will be happy to guide you as to how and what it consists of.  I'm hoping someone would interested in taking this on.  Please let me know if this is something you would like to do.
