June Paint Out!

Paint Out at Tippecanoe Battlefield
June 21, 8 a.m. until ?

Join the Wabash Valley Watercolor Society at the Tippecanoe Battlefield to paint the beautiful scenery around the monument, park and Burnett's Creek.  There are many lovely sites for painting including the small nature museum, the picturesque chapel, the monument, woods and Burnett's Creek.  We will meet in the parking lot at 8 a.m.  However, if you want to come later, follow the stairs beside the small brick Nature Museum down to the creek and you will find some of us.  You can either bring a lunch or we can go to T.C.'s in Battle Ground.  Suggested supplies are mosquito spray, suntan lotion, and a hat.  Hope to see you there!

WVWS Paint Out at Prophetstown

Prophetstown Paint out

This Saturday a paint out is organizaed  at Historic Prophetstown, West Lafayette, Indiana.
The WVWS is having a plein air paint out a week from Saturday INSTEAD of our 3rd Tuesday night meeting at TAF. Invited a friend to join you for this day of painting outdoors!

Where: Prophetstown State Park, 5545 Swisher Road, West Lafayette, IN
(It is actually closer to Battle Ground off 9th Street.)

When: Saturday, October 19 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Admission: $6.00 per car, or free if you already have a state park pass.
It might be a good idea to car pool with someone.

Meet at the farm house around 9 a.m. and then we will each find our favorite location to paint.

Bring a sack lunch and beverages.

Celery Bog Paint Out

Plein Air Paint Out


Do you enjoy painting on site, outdoors?  Plein Air Painting at Adams Mills – June 8, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Rena Brouwer announced this paint out at our April meeting.  There will be a paint out at Adams Mill called“Discover the Wildcat at Adams Mill. There will also be escorted canoe rides around the Oxbow as well as food, drinks, mill tours, and educational displays and demonstrations about the Wildcat Valley and its natural resources.Photographers and plein air artists will be working throughout the grounds. All are welcome to come to paint.
